Alternative bus service for Stanley and Stanley Common
In February this year Stanley and Stanley Common Parish Council were successful in obtaining an Awards for All grant of £9,218.20 from the National Lottery Community Fund.
The money was used to purchase and install a new roundabout for the Stanley Common Recreation Ground Play Area following a request from a local resident to provide more inclusive equipment so that their disabled child could access play with their friends.
Recently opened, the new roundabout can be used by all children, providing the ability to roll on and off with a wheelchair, ensuring maximum fun for all.
The Council has now received the External Auditors Report and Certificate of completion of the Audit for the 2018-19 accounts. Parts 1 and 2 can be found in our documents archive.

The Council has to comply with numerous pieces of legislation. Our current documents setting out how we operate are set out below.
Please note that these are on a rolling programme of review and new versions will be uploaded following approval at a Council meeting.
If you have any concerns please contact the Parish Clerk.

The Council has to submit this return every year to the External Auditor who will then deliver an Audit opinion by the end of September. We are obliged to publish the return prior to the audit being completed so please note that the latest year won’t be completed. It will be re-uploaded with the final pages completed as soon as possible after receiving the Auditor’s comments.
