We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.1.1 (non-text content).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Text is not always used to convey information rather than images of text. This doesn\u2019t meet success criterion 1.4.5 Images of Text (Level AA)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We plan to add text alternatives for all images by September 2020. When we publish new content we\u2019ll make sure our use of images meets accessibility standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Disproportionate burden<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Navigation and accessing information<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s not possible for users to change text size without some of the content overlapping.&nbsp; However the content can be magnified to 500% before this becomes an issue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Content that\u2019s not within the scope of the accessibility regulations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>PDFs and other documents<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some of our PDFs and Word documents are essential to providing our services. For example, we have PDFs with information on how users can access our services, and forms published as Word documents. By September 2020, we plan to either fix these or replace them with accessible HTML pages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The accessibility regulations&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.legislation.gov.uk\/uksi\/2018\/952\/regulation\/4\/made\">do not require us to fix PDFs or other documents published before 23 September 2018<\/a>&nbsp;if they\u2019re not essential to providing our services. For example, we do not plan to fix copies of minutes and agendas or our annual governance and accountability returns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Any new PDFs or Word documents we publish will meet accessibility standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Live video<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We do not plan to add captions to live video streams because live video is&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.legislation.gov.uk\/uksi\/2018\/952\/regulation\/4\/made\">exempt from meeting the accessibility regulations<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What we\u2019re doing to improve accessibility<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We continually monitor and test the accessibility of our site and have made fixing and improving the accessibility of the site part of our daily work.&nbsp; We are grateful for any feedback to help us to do this.&nbsp; Please let us know if you have had any problems accessing documents and areas of the website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Preparation of this accessibility statement<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This statement was prepared on 13 August 2020.
