Growing Lives – Towpath Trail

Walk description: A five-mile circular walk along Erewash and Nottingham Canal passing Bennerley Viaduct with refreshments at Growing Lives after the walk.
Booking: Booking essential. Maximum numbers 25 on a first come first served basis.

Bat Watch at Bennerley Viaduct
Run by The Friends of Bennerley Viaduct
Time: 8.30 – 10 pm
Start and finish: Bennerley Viaduct, Aswsworth Road, Ilkeston, DE7 8PX (Access via Newtons Lane, off Awsworth Road (what3words played.reds.whites). If you are coming from Nottingham (A6096 Shilo Way) turn right onto Newton’s Lane, then turn right again just before the railway bridge. If you are coming from Ilkeston, it is your first left after the railway bridge. The gate to the lane will be open. Drive down the tarmac lane until you arrive underneath the viaduct. Volunteers will be on hand to direct parking.
